The Active School Flag is a Department of Education and Skills initiative which recognises schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community, by awarding them with the Active School Flag (ASF). The process aims to get more schools, more active, more often.
Cycling lessons for 5th class students where they learn the four core skills of pedalling, balance, braking and cornering. They are also taught about bike and helmet safety checks and road safety.
