Creative Schools Project (Mrs Walsh’s Class)

For the Creative Schools theme ‘Brave New Future’, we wanted a bright new future filled with love. We were inspired by Robert Indiano’s ‘Love’ posters and sculptures and so learned to draw 3D letters and filled them with bright colours and shadows for some extra dimension.

Robert Indiana was an American artist associated with the pop art movement. His “LOVE” print, first created for the Museum of Modern Art’s Christmas card was the basis for his 1970 “LOVE” sculpture and the well known 1973 U.S. postal “LOVE” stamp.
